This week it was confirmed that Sebastian Søraas Sebulonsen from Sola is leaving Danish Brøndby for German FC Köln. According to Tipsbladet, the transfer fee is three million euros, equivalent to nearly 36 million kroner. In connection with professional transfers, solidarity funds are included in the purchase price, which is a compensation paid to clubs that have contributed to a football player's development. These funds account for five percent of the transfer fee and are distributed between the clubs the player has been with between the ages of 12 and 23. Solidarity funds amount to 150,000 euros, equivalent to nearly 1.8 million kroner. ## – A gift How much of this sum will go to Sola FK is currently unclear, but Sebulonsen has played most of his time in Sola FK until he was 23 years old. This means that a large sum will go to Sola FK, where he played from his youth. For the club, the money means a lot. – Sebastian is the gift that gives and gives. He has contributed to Sola FK being able to develop into the arena we know today, so as a club we are incredibly lucky and privileged, says Sola FK's daily leader, Andreas Larsen. ## – Unique for a small club like Sola He thinks it's great for Sola FK to have fostered a player like Sebulonsen. – To have had a player who first excelled in Viking, now in Brøndby, and without a doubt will go straight into the heart of FC Köln, is unique for a small club like Sola, says Larsen. Sebastian Søraas Sebulonsen made his debut on the A-team at 16 years old in 2016 and was a key player for the yellow-clad until he went to Viking in 2020. Since 2022, he has lived in Copenhagen and plays for Brøndby. – Football is unpredictable. You can be sold, loaned out, and suddenly you'll be staying for ten years if you get a new contract. But I'm okay with that. It would have been cool to play football in other countries at some point, but that's not something I spend much time, energy, or thoughts on. I'll take a stance on it if something comes up in the future, Sebulonsen said in an interview with Solabladet about life in Denmark. ### Sebastian (23) lives the dream in Denmark: – Experiences a lot ### Viking's sale of Sebastian Sebulonsen can give big profits in Sola FK's coffers ### - It's fully possible to get to the A-team of Viking from Sola FK and sports at Sola vgs ## Topics in the article Follow what interests you, and find the articles on For you
