Brondby IF's women's team is set to lose a key player. Linnéa Borbye has impressed in the blue and yellow defense, and that has been noticed by Italian club Como Women.

What's happening?

Brondby and Como have agreed on a transfer, and all that's left is a medical check for Borbye. This week, she will travel to Italy to undergo the medical check and sign a three-year contract with Como.

Why is it important for Brondby?

Linnéa Borbye has made great strides since joining the club in early 2023. As recently as April, the parties chose to extend the agreement with each other. Head of Women's Football Kim André Pedersen stated at the time that Borbye has taken significant steps in her development over the past half year.

What's next?

In Brondby IF, Borbye has been part of the Danish U23 national team, where she has played ten international matches. But now it looks like a farewell to Vestegnen for Borbye. Brondby is currently in 4th place in the Superliga with 45 points, 13 wins, 6 draws and 13 losses in 32 games, and has a recent form of LWLDL.

In Como Women, Linnéa Borbye will be met by several Danish players, as Agnete Marcussen and Mathilde Kruse are also under contract with the Italian Serie A club. Brondby's last result was a 1-3 loss to FC Copenhagen on May 21, 2026.
