Brondby IF has added a new face to the staff. They have namely hired a new physical trainer in the form of Mathias Zangenberg. He will be in charge of the work with the players' physical development and performance together with Bennet Kästner. Mathias Zangenberg returns to Denmark after three years in South Africa, where he has had the same role for Mamelodi Sundowns. Previously, he has been Head of Physical Performance at both FC Nordsjælland and AGF. It's a great project that I'm really looking forward to being a part of, says Mathias Zangenberg. Already on Friday, there's a lot to look forward to for the new physical trainer. After a summer break, Brondby's players will meet for physical tests on Friday. Football director Julius Ohnesorge is also thrilled with the appointment of Mathias Zangenberg. Mathias brings experience, perspectives, and great professional expertise from several strong football environments, he says. We've been looking for a profile that could supplement the competencies we already have in the staff, and at the same time help strengthen the overall environment around the first team.
