Brondby IF has renewed its partnership with Kim André Pedersen as Head of Women’s Football until 2028.

The blue‑yellow club announced in a press release that the former sports director of Stabæk women’s team in Norway will stay in his role for another two years. Football director Julius Ohnesorge highlights that Pedersen’s work has strengthened the sporting structure and improved conditions for the players. At the same time, Brondby sits 4th in the Superliga with 45 points after 32 games, boasting a +9 goal difference (44 scored, 35 conceded).

What does the extension mean for Brondby’s women’s side?

Kim André has been in charge of the club’s women’s football since the summer of 2024. He introduced a more cohesive organization, linking coaches, scouting and player development more closely. Ohnesorge notes that continuity is essential to build on the solid foundation Pedersen created. This gives the next two seasons a chance to raise the quality of both the first team and the academy.

Why is his Norwegian background important?

Before joining Brondby, Pedersen served as sports director for Stabæk women, leading them to several top‑table finishes in the Toppserien. That experience in a professional league provides a unique perspective on competing nationally and in Europe. His network across Scandinavia could also open doors for new player signings and partnerships, bolstering Brondby’s standing in the Danish women’s league.

What can we expect moving forward?

With the contract now running through 2028, Brondby aims to consolidate the sporting structure that has already delivered results. The team’s recent form has been mixed – they lost the last two matches, including a 1‑3 defeat to FC Copenhagen on 21 May 2026. Yet with an overall record of 13‑6‑13 and a recent five‑game stretch of 1W‑1D‑3L, there is a platform to turn things around. Pedersen’s continued leadership could be the catalyst that pushes Brondby back to the top of the women’s league.
